PIF Global Series 2025 Ends in Shenzhen With Yin and He Headlining

If you thought the Aramco China Championship was just another stop on the calendar, think again. From 6–8 November 2025, Mission Hills China will play host to the series finale of the PIF Global Series on the Ladies European Tour (LET), and it’s bringing some serious firepower: former World No.1 and Major champion Ruoning “Ronni” Yin, alongside China’s own Muni He.

Both players return with unfinished business. Last year in Shenzhen, Yin finished ninth at 11-under-par, while He tied for 10th at 10-under. This time around, the stage feels bigger, the spotlight brighter, and the stakes higher.

Ronni’s Homecoming

Currently ranked World No.3 and serving as a Golf Saudi ambassador, Yin has been knocking on the door all season with three top-10 finishes but no win to show for it.

That near miss at the Chevron Championship—where Mao Saigo edged her out in a five-player playoff—still lingers. For her, Mission Hills is more than just another tournament.

“It’s always a great feeling to be back home and play in front of family and friends. I don’t get many opportunities to compete in China, so every time I do, it’s extra special,” said Yin.

“I learned a lot from my performance in Shenzhen last year, and I’m really excited to return this year. As for Mission Hills Resort, I’ve only played this course once, but I think the key to a good performance is definitely on the greens. If I want to shoot a low score, I need to put more focus on my putting.”

Five LPGA titles already sit in her trophy cabinet, but this one—on home soil—would carry a different weight.

Muni He: Full Circle

On the other side of the draw, Muni He brings a different kind of story. She grew up just down the road, learned the game at Mission Hills, and now returns as one of China’s most recognisable golfers. For her, it’s not simply a tournament; it’s a walk through memory lane.

“Fun fact, it’s actually when I first started golfing, I was about five years old, and at the age of six, we actually moved to Shenzhen for eight months. So it’s kind of a full circle to be able to go back and, you know, now compete there at the highest levels of golf,” said He.

“It brings back a lot of really good memories just walking through the clubhouse with the same colours on the walls and things like that. It makes me feel right at home.

Last year was the first year that we had the tournament out there, and the amount of support I had from the fans was really, really amazing to me. It made me feel really emotional, and I’m really looking forward to it.

It’s a different type of environment because the fans are so passionate. And, you know, they’re there to cheer you on no matter what and they really do say just sweet things to you every hole. It is different, but it’s the type of pressure that is good.”

A Showcase for Women’s Golf

The Aramco China Championship isn’t just about nostalgia or homecomings—it’s the grand finale of the PIF Global Series. After stops in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, England, and the United States, the curtain drops in Shenzhen before the LET season heads to its final stage in Andalucía.

Golf Saudi will once again take centre stage as the driving force behind the event, continuing its commitment to grow the game and empower women in sport. The tournament promises a blockbuster finish to 2025, with more high-profile names expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
