England Golf Duo Dominic Clemons and Charlie Forster Turn Professional After Stellar Amateur Careers

England Golf continues to prove itself as the ultimate breeding ground for world-class talent, as Men’s Squad standouts Dominic Clemons and Charlie Forster take the leap into the professional ranks after securing spots on the HotelPlanner Tour.

The pair now join fellow England Golf graduate Will Hopkins, who’s already confirmed for another season on the 2026 circuit. Between them, Clemons and Forster have built amateur résumés that would make even seasoned pros take notice.

Forster’s Global Rise

At just 22, Charlie Forster has spent 2025 globetrotting and collecting trophies like souvenirs. From the Arnold Palmer Cup, where Team International toppled the USA 35–25, to donning the European colours at the Bonallack Trophy, Forster has been everywhere — and winning plenty along the way.

Representing GB&I at both the St Andrews Trophy and Walker Cup at Cypress Point, the England Golf ace also finished second overall in stroke play at the European Amateur Team Championship, before going unbeaten through five match-play battles — including a nail-biting 19th-hole win that sealed bronze for England against Ireland.

His medal haul didn’t stop there. Forster helped secure another bronze at the World Amateur Team Championship, and stateside, the California State University graduate dominated the U.S. college scene with victories at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational and the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. Top-10 finishes at the Big West Men’s Golf Championship and NCAA Urbana Regional capped a season to remember.

“I’m over the moon to get my card on the HotelPlanner Tour, it’s something all us amateurs work towards and to be able to get it through the Global Amateur Pathway is something really cool,” said Forster.

“I hope to keep learning and gaining valuable experience and eventually earn my DP World Tour card. I’m looking forward to the travel and seeing new places, I love exploring and playing in different countries, learning how to play in different environments, and on different grasses.

“My support team will look the same, they have helped me get to this point and I don’t think there’s any reason to change. My goal is to be one of the best players on the DP World Tour and potentially the PGA Tour and I like to set myself achievable short-term goals in order to try and help me achieve this.

“I’ve had a great time developing as part of the England Golf pathway, with my most memorable moment being at the European Amateur Team Championships, helping us win the bronze, winning my tense play-off match! It was a very long but fun week, where we played some great golf as a team and the vibes were great all week.”

Clemons: From Cambridgeshire to the World Stage

At 23, Dominic Clemons brings a serious winning habit with him to the professional game. The University of Alabama graduate racked up college victories at the Lindenwood Invitational, Folds of Honor Collegiate, and Daytona Beach Intercollegiate, while stacking up an impressive eight top-10 finishes in one season.

Back home, the Gog Magog golfer’s 2024 campaign was one for the ages. He crushed the field at Muirfield, winning the Scottish Men’s Open Championship by 17 shots — yes, seventeen — and finished runner-up at The R&A Amateur Championship in Ballyliffin. He also made headlines after qualifying for the 152nd Open at Royal Troon, topping the Burnham & Berrow qualifier alongside none other than Justin Rose.

His international résumé isn’t short on team glory either. Clemons helped GB&I win the St Andrews Trophy, represented Europe in the Bonallack Trophy, and starred for England in the 2025 Home Internationals victory. He rounded out the year with a gold medal double at the Spirit Invitational Amateur Golf Championship in the USA, helping England clinch both overall and men’s titles.

“I’m so pleased to get my tour card, I can’t wait to gain valuable experience and compete against some of the best players on the circuit,” said Clemons.

“It’s going to be great to see new places and I hope I can push on to book a spot on the DP World Tour and entertain!

“My most memorable achievement with England Golf was winning the gold medal at The Spirit Invitational in the USA last year, it was special, and I’ll always be thankful to England Golf for having helped me progress to where I am today.”

The Next Chapter for England Golf

Between them, Forster and Clemons have represented England Golf on nearly every international stage that matters. Their elevation to the professional game is yet another testament to the England Golf performance pathway, which continues to shape the country’s next generation of global contenders.

Both now embark on their professional journeys via the Global Amateur Pathway, a system fast becoming one of golf’s most reliable launchpads. With a blend of maturity, international experience, and a shared hunger for success, expect these two to make headlines well beyond the HotelPlanner Tour.
