FedEx Open de France Adds Detry, Hall and Perez to Elite Line-Up

The FedEx Open de France is shaping up to be more than just another stop on the DP World Tour—it’s gearing up to be a continental showdown wrapped in history, passion, and a few French roars for good measure.

With just two weeks to go before the tee-off at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, the player list has started looking like the guestbook at a major championship afterparty.

Thomas Detry, Harry Hall and Victor Perez are the latest to throw their hats—or in Hall’s case, his flat cap—into the ring, joining a field already glittering with PGA TOUR winners Corey Conners, Ryan Fox, Min Woo Lee, and Matthieu Pavon.

France will also be well represented by Martin Couvra, Antoine Rozner, and Alex Levy, ensuring the locals won’t be short of heroes to cheer for.

A Belgian Breakthrough

For Detry, who finally broke through with his maiden PGA TOUR win at this year’s WM Phoenix Open, the week promises another shot at proving his mettle on European soil.

“The Open de France is a great event with so much history behind it, so I’m looking forward to visiting Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche for the first time.

“It’s an exciting time of year on the DP World Tour and competing for prestigious titles such as this one provides an extra edge when you tee it up.”

Not bad for a man who ran away with a seven-shot victory in Arizona earlier this year.

An English Debut

Harry Hall, meanwhile, continues his own steady rise. After securing his first PGA TOUR win at the 2024 ISCO Championship and notching five top-10s en route to finishing 17th in the FedEx Cup Standings, the Englishman is ready for his French debut.

“I cannot wait to compete in my first Open de France in just a few weeks,” Hall said. “This season has been a fun and consistent one, and I’m looking forward to continuing it at a great venue in front of incredible fans.”

Hall has the look of a man who’s more than capable of turning “fun and consistent” into “winning and champagne-soaked.”

The French Favourite

Victor Perez, France’s golfing torchbearer, will carry the hopes of a nation. The 33-year-old Rolex Series champion and three-time DP World Tour winner will be making his fourth straight start in his national open, and he knows the weight—and energy—that comes with it.

“Nothing beats playing in front of home crowds and I’m really excited to tee it up in a couple of weeks,” Perez said.

“French fans are so passionate and having that support and energy behind you makes the fire burn inside you even more, so hopefully I can give them something to cheer about.”

For the man who flew his country’s flag at the 2024 Olympic Games, there’s no greater stage than this.

A Historic Move

This year’s FedEx Open de France will mark a fresh chapter in the event’s storied history. After a 21-year run at Le Golf National—the site of the 2018 Ryder Cup—the tournament will make its debut at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche.

The venue is hardly a stranger to big occasions, having hosted the Seve Trophy multiple times, and its tree-lined fairways and strategic design promise to challenge every shot and punish every lapse in concentration.

It’s a move that signals both respect for tradition and an appetite for something new—just the sort of mix that keeps the DP World Tour’s Back 9 humming.

Tickets on Sale

For those keen to see it all unfold in person, tickets for the 2025 FedEx Open de France are already available, with both General Admission and Premium Hospitality options on offer.

Judging by the names committed and the history at stake, this is not the week you’ll want to watch from your sofa.
