Kieran Vincent Chases LIV Golf Return With Jakarta Title Bid

Kieran Vincent is chasing more than just birdies this week—he’s chasing a ticket back to golf’s big stage. The former LIV Golf player is banking on a little family momentum as he tees it up at the Jakarta International Championship, the latest stop on The International Series.

The Zimbabwean’s mission? To turn his brother Scott’s recent triumph in Morocco into the opening act of a back-to-back Vincent family encore. And if he pulls it off, a path back into LIV Golf for the 2026 season could be waiting.

“Seeing my brother win in Morocco was really special. I was rooting for him all week, and I know how hard he works,” said Vincent. “I joked that I’m not sure what they were feeding him over there, but it clearly worked. It motivates me even more – hopefully I can follow that up with something big of my own before the season ends.”

A Family Affair

Scott Vincent’s four-shot win at International Series Morocco jolted his career back to life just a year after losing his spot on the Iron Heads GC roster. Once the 2022 International Series England champion and a consistent performer on LIV Golf, Scott now sits second in the rankings behind Lucas Herbert.

Little brother Kieran, meanwhile, sits 32nd and knows Jakarta is a pivotal chance to climb. With a T14 finish in Macau and a T12 in Japan, he has shown flashes but is still searching for the week where everything clicks.

“Feeling good – it feels nice to be back,” Vincent said. “It’s a little hot, but that’s expected here in Indonesia. It’s good to get the juices flowing again and compete. Entering the second half of the season, there’s a lot at stake with plenty of points up for grabs, so it’s exciting to come in knowing there’s a lot to achieve.”

The Road Ahead

The Jakarta event is no easy re-entry point. This is the first of five International Series stops crammed into eight weeks, with each one carrying serious weight—not to mention star-studded fields.

The upcoming International Series Philippines will feature former world No.1 Dustin Johnson alongside Major winners Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Charl Schwartzel, and Louis Oosthuizen.

Hong Kong now dangles a golden carrot—a direct qualifying place for both The Masters and The Open in 2026—ensuring every big name and their caddie will be circling it in red ink. Singapore and Saudi Arabia round out the schedule, with hefty prize funds and LIV Golf’s sharpest lurking.

Vincent, who earned his 2024 LIV Golf spot with Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII via the 2023 Promotions event, has been here before. He knows what’s at stake.

“Right now, my focus is on Jakarta – I’m really excited to be here and take it one week at a time,” he said. “With Hong Kong now offering a direct pathway into the Masters and The Open, it’s going to be huge.

That kind of opportunity is going to attract top talent, and rightly so – one great week could completely change the trajectory of someone’s career.”

Eyes on the Prize

The grind is familiar, but the opportunity is clear. For Kieran Vincent, this week isn’t just about Jakarta’s sweltering fairways—it’s about proving he belongs back in golf’s fast lane.

“For me, the key is putting in the work now, staying in a good headspace, and being ready when those moments come. It’s going to be an exciting one, and I can’t wait to see how it plays out,” he added.

Family pride, a LIV Golf comeback, and a career-defining stretch of tournaments—Vincent has every reason to keep swinging for the fences.
