LIV UK 2025 Fantasy Guide: Rahm, Gooch, HV3, and the Players You Need This Week

Major championship season is over, and while the LIV field failed to capture one of the coveted trophies from this season, there’s still plenty of LIV regular season action to be had before the Team Championship later this summer in Michigan!

Tyrrell Hatton, Jon Rahm, and Patrick Reed were our favourites going into Royal Portrush, but it was Bryson DeChambeau (T10; 9-under par) who secured the league’s best finish before the foregone conclusion of Scottie Scheffler winning his second major of the year closed out the 2025 major circuit season.

Now, worthy suitors look to unseat four-time winner Joaquin Niemann from his top spot on tour while Legion XIII seeks to place a stranglehold on the number one seed going into Michigan.

We are proud to bring you our LIV Fantasy rankings for the 2025 version of LIV UK!

Picks by Group

  1. Jon Rahm – Last year’s champion at JCB, Jon Rahm figures to be the best bet among an all-star cast featured in Group 1. Despite making the cut at Royal Portrush, it was a disappointing outing (T34; 3-under par) for the Legion XIII captain who was our second favourite (behind Tyrrell Hatton) to win the Claret Jug. A fiery competitor, we can always count on Rahm showing up every week in and week out even though the 2025 major circuit is now a thing of the past.
  1. Talor Gooch – LIV’s most recent winner, Gooch won at Andalucia for the second time in three seasons, signalling a return to form for the 2023 Individual Champion. Talor will need to bring the intensity once more as his T6 finish at JCB last season could have been a win if not for a pedestrian 1-under par Sunday.
  1. Cameron Tringale – Tringale’s T6 finish at LIV UK last season was one of the best finishes of his LIV career and the HyFlyers standout is currently in form with a T7 under his belt from his most recent showing at Andalucia. Making our fantasy lineup for the second week in a row, Tringale is a great option for Group 3 as his stock is currently at an all time high.
  1. Chieh-Po Lee– This is the first time I’ve selected a wildcard for LIV Fantasy, but the options for Group 4 are not pretty. You may be tempted to go with Lee Westwood who had himself a fine Open (T34; 3-under par) but as I said in my Open preview he would make the cut, but empty the tank in doing so. Take note that Westwood and Stenson did not have successful outing at JCB last season either, so it’s time to look at a fresh face in Max Lee. Currently 47th in the individual standings, LIV UK could prove to be the ultimate opportunity for Max to move up a few spots, showing his value off to teams looking for a free agent next season.
  1. Harold Varner III – HV3 is a steal for Group 5. He’s got everything going for him – in form, good showing at LIV UK last season, and one spot outside The Lock Zone. As soon as I saw HV3 sitting here, it was a no-brainer for me.

Picks for Teams

  1. Legion XIII – Winners of last year’s tournament and the reigning team champions after claiming victory at Andalucia, Legion XIII is the best bet for an outright victory. Scoring an incredible 26-under par at JCB last season, it will be interesting to see how Tom McKibbin rebounds after a tough missed cut at Portrush.
  1. 4 Aces – Podium finishers for three straight tournaments in a row, the 4 Aces may not win LIV UK, but are certainly going to challenge for the team trophy. I really like Dustin Johnson’s current form after some good tournaments on LIV and at Royal Portrush (T23; 6-under par). HV3 is the best player in Group 5, Patrick Reed still has plenty on the line, especially after a very poor outing at The Open, including a potential Ryder Cup nomination which rests of how he performs on LIV and The International Series for the remainder of the season.

Remember to set your fantasy roster before Friday when LIV returns to action in the UK!

The action begins at 8:05 AM ET on July 25th. LIV UK can be viewed throughout the weekend on FS2 (Friday), FS1/FOX (Saturday), and FS1 (Sunday).
