The PIF London Golf Championship has teed off in style at Centurion Club, cementing its reputation as one of the marquee stops on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and a shining example of Golf Saudi’s mission to grow the game globally while championing women’s sport.
Fresh from successful showings in Riyadh and Korea, the Golf Saudi-backed tournament brings the world’s best to London before heading to Houston in September and Shenzhen in November.
This year’s prize fund has been dialled up to a cool $2 million USD — a figure that ensures both established stars and rising talents circle the date in bold on their calendars.
Golf meets grassroots

It wasn’t just birdies and leaderboard jostling that drew crowds. Off the course, the PIF London Golf Championship staged a festival of golf-inspired community events.
The Trophy Tour made stops at multiple golf clubs, thrilling hundreds of children and parents, while hundreds of tournament flyers made their way into eager hands.
Golf Saudi’s Go Golf Clinics proved a smash hit, offering training programs, simulator sessions, and workshops. Local engagement was front and centre, with special visits to the Saudi Community Club in London and participation from the Skratch Women Golf Group.
Youngsters got their own taste of the action with the Golf Sixes tournament, which brought together dozens of children and their families for a day that mixed fun and fairways.
From the fairways to the boardroom
The event also doubled as a hub for big-picture conversations about golf’s growing economic and cultural impact. The Elevated Green panel series, held in partnership with the Public Investment Fund and the PIF Global Series, featured business heavyweights including Amanda Staveley, Co-Director of PCP Capital Partners UK, and Molly Duff, Global Co-Head of Financial Institutions Coverage at Standard Chartered. Topics ranged from Saudi Arabia’s golfing boom to the influence of AI and FinTech on the Kingdom’s evolving economy.
Raising the game for women’s golf

The PIF London Golf Championship is one of five flagship events in the newly launched PIF Global Series under the LET banner. With a total prize pot of $13 million USD — one of the highest outside the majors — the series is designed to accelerate the growth of women’s golf worldwide and provide sustainable professional pathways for female golfers.
At its core, Golf Saudi’s strategy is simple but ambitious: put women’s golf front and centre, create world-class playing opportunities, and open the game to beginners and future champions alike. It’s part of a wider push to strengthen the Kingdom’s golfing ecosystem, boost tourism, and position Saudi Arabia as a serious player on the global sports stage.
If the opening weekend at Centurion is anything to go by, the PIF London Golf Championship isn’t just a tournament — it’s a statement.
