Alison Lee is back in the game, and Houston might need a bigger trophy cabinet. The 30-year-old Californian, fresh from welcoming her first child in April, is set to make her much-anticipated return at the Aramco Houston Championship, the fourth stop on the PIF Global Series on the Ladies European Tour.
The event runs September 5–7 at Golfcrest Country Club, and for Lee, it’s not just another tee time—it’s her homecoming.
Lee, a Golf Saudi ambassador, has made a habit of shining when the Aramco name is on the leaderboard. Both of her Ladies European Tour victories came in Aramco Team Series individual play, first in Sotogrande (2021) and then Riyadh (2023). Now, after a brief but life-changing pause, she’s stepping back inside the ropes where she belongs.
“It feels great to be back competing, and to do so on US soil makes it even more special. Becoming a mum has been an incredible experience, and I’m grateful for the support of my family as well as Golf Saudi. I can’t wait to test myself against such a strong field in Houston and I’m absolutely raring to get back to doing what I love,” said Lee.
A Career Built on Consistency

Alison Lee has long been recognised as one of the most technically gifted players on tour, her résumé decorated with Solheim Cup appearances in 2015 and 2024—both ending in USA victories.
Those team call-ups weren’t ceremonial nods; they were earned, proof that Lee’s combination of grit and consistency has been vital both individually and in the pressure cooker of team golf.
That reputation will serve her well in Houston, where she’ll return not just as a mother, but as one of the most respected names in the women’s game. And with a partisan American gallery waiting to roar, the stage is set for her comeback to carry extra weight.
Houston Welcomes the PIF Global Series

The Aramco Houston Championship marks new territory for Golf Saudi’s flagship series. It’s the first time the PIF Global Series will tee off in Texas, broadening a schedule that’s already changing the way women’s golf is seen and staged worldwide.
With Lee in the line-up—and more “big-name reveals” to come—the organisers are promising a field brimming with star power.
As a Golf Saudi ambassador, Lee has also played a pivotal role in driving the women’s game into new frontiers. The Houston stop is a testament to that effort: not just another tournament, but part of a larger push to expand opportunities for female golfers and spotlight the game in emerging markets.
