Danielle Kang Joins Star-Studded Field at the Aramco Houston Championship

The Aramco Houston Championship is set to bring some serious firepower to Texas this September, with Major champion Danielle Kang confirming her place in the field.

From 5–7 September 2025, Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland will host the penultimate stop of the PIF Global Series on the Ladies European Tour—and with Kang in the mix, the Lone Star State is guaranteed world-class drama on the fairways.

Kang, a six-time LPGA Tour winner and the 2017 KPMG Women’s PGA Champion, is no stranger to big stages. Known for her competitive edge and fearless style, she’s a headline act Houston won’t want to miss.

“The Aramco Houston Championship is a great example of how the PIF Global Series is elevating women’s golf. It’s bringing world-class events to incredible venues and giving players opportunities to compete at the highest level. Being part of a field like this, in a city with such a rich sporting culture, is something I really value,” Kang said.

A Line-Up That Means Business

Kang won’t be the only star turning heads in Houston. The Aramco Houston Championship will feature a field stacked with Golf Saudi ambassadors and international standouts.

Expect to see Charley Hull, Carlota Ciganda, Celine Boutier, Anne Van Dam, Alison Lee, Bronte Law, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, Muni He (Lily), and Marianne Skarpnord, among others.

This isn’t just a leaderboard—it’s a global showcase. Together, they reflect Golf Saudi’s mission to make the game more accessible, inspire new audiences, and leave a legacy for the next generation of women’s golf.

Texas Roots, Global Stage

For local fans, there’s even more reason to cheer. Several rising stars with Texas ties will tee it up alongside the global names. Blanca Fernandez and Adela Cernousek will fly the flag for Texas A&M, while Sara Kouskova represents the University of Texas.

Hannah Screen, who cut her teeth at the University of Houston before finishing her college career at Oklahoma, adds more local spice. Texas Tech isn’t left out either, with Shannon Tan and Amy Taylor rounding off a strong homegrown contingent.

Their presence underscores the depth of talent in the state and offers Houston golf fans the rare thrill of watching future stars test themselves against the game’s elite.

A New Era for Women’s Golf

The Aramco Houston Championship isn’t just another date on the calendar—it’s the PIF Global Series’ first venture into Texas.

Backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the series is reshaping women’s professional golf with high-profile international stops, expanded playing opportunities, and a focus on raising the global profile of the women’s game.

Houston, with its long-standing ties to Aramco and its vibrant golfing culture, provides a fitting backdrop for this groundbreaking debut. It’s a city that thrives on sport, and the PIF Global Series is more than ready to add another chapter to that story.
