The DP World Tour Qualifying School has revealed its 2026 schedule, and as ever, it looks less like a timetable and more like a golfing obstacle course designed by someone with a stopwatch, a clipboard and a faintly cruel sense of humour.
Across three stages, 15 venues and eight countries, hopefuls will chase the sort of career-changing opportunity that can turn a good player into a household name — or at least into someone with a DP World Tour bag, a hotel bill, and a suddenly very interesting future.
The journey begins in August, stretches through autumn, and ends from November 6-11, 2026, at INFINITUM on Spain’s Costa Dorada, where Final Stage will be staged for an eighth successive time.
A Three-Stage Test With Proper Teeth
Since its inception in 1976, Qualifying School has been golf’s grand sorting office. Major Champions, Ryder Cup players, World Number Ones and DP World Tour winners have all passed through its doors, usually looking a little pale and wondering where their putting stroke went.
For 2026, the format remains reassuringly unforgiving. Players must survive First Stage, progress through Second Stage in Spain, and then endure six rounds at Final Stage, where 156 competitors will line up at INFINITUM.
At the end of it all, the leading 15 players and ties will earn playing opportunities on the DP World Tour, alongside full status on the HotelPlanner Tour for the 2027 season. In plain English: six rounds for a passport to the big leagues.
Three New First Stage Venues Join The Schedule
The 2026 DP World Tour Qualifying School schedule includes three new First Stage venues, each bringing its own personality to the qualifying gauntlet.
Golf-und Country Club Seddiner See in Germany makes its debut, having already welcomed the Ladies European Tour, most recently in 2024. Austria’s Golfclub Donnerskirchen also joins the rota, bringing with it HotelPlanner Tour heritage after hosting the Bank Austria Open between 1992 and 1994.
In England, Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club enters the picture. Designed by four-time Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas, it is described as one of the most picturesque and demanding layouts in the north west of England. That usually means beautiful trees, narrow windows, and the occasional ball disappearing as if it has joined witness protection.
Familiar Venues Add Continuity
Not everything is new, which is no bad thing. Normandy’s Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil returns as a First Stage venue for the second successive year. Long associated with the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge on the HotelPlanner Tour, it brings proven tournament pedigree.
Northumberland Golf Club in England also returns, giving players another familiar stop on a First Stage circuit that is designed to test more than just ball-striking. It tests patience, resilience, travel management, and the ability to sleep soundly knowing one loose nine holes can rearrange your career.
Spain Again Takes Centre Stage
Second Stage will once again be played entirely in Spain from October 29 to November 1, with four venues returning to the schedule: Desert Springs Resort in Almeria, Isla Canela Links in Huelva, Golf Las Pinaillas in Albacete and Fontanals Golf Club in Girona.
That Spanish stretch has become one of the defining chapters of the Qualifying School route. By then, the field has already been thinned, the margins have sharpened, and every player knows exactly what is at stake.
This is not the leisurely Mediterranean golf of postcards and late lunches. This is golf with consequences.
INFINITUM Remains The Final Stage Theatre
The Final Stage returns to INFINITUM for an eighth successive time, and for the second year of an extended three-year partnership running through to 2027.
The Costa Dorada resort has become a fitting venue for the climax of DP World Tour Qualifying School. It offers scale, polish and sufficient bite to separate the nearly-there from the nearly-men. Over six rounds, players cannot bluff their way through. A hot putter might get you noticed. A complete game gets you through.
Gary Butler, DP World Tour Qualifying School Director, said: “I am pleased to announce the 2026 schedule for DP World Tour Qualifying School which includes three First Stage venues that will be hosting for the first time.
“Upon the conclusion of First Stage at ten excellent venues across Europe, Second Stage will return to Spain before Final Stage once again takes place at INFINITUM, a venue which has proven to be the ideal host for the highlight of our schedule.
“INFINITUM is a first-class venue, and we appreciate their continued support ahead of our latest visit in November.
“DP World Tour Qualifying School gives players an opportunity to fulfil their ambitions on the DP World Tour and HotelPlanner Tour, and the 2026 Qualifying School schedule will provide a true test. Those who come through the three-stage process will no-doubt be ready to compete in 2027.”
Why Q-School Still Matters
In a golfing landscape crowded with pathways, rankings, tours and exemptions, Qualifying School remains refreshingly blunt. There is no mystery committee. No sentimental subplot. No convenient safety net. You play, you post, and the numbers decide.
That is why the DP World Tour Qualifying School continues to carry such weight. It is not simply a qualifying route; it is a credibility test. Those who emerge from it have earned more than status. They have earned the right to say they survived one of golf’s most demanding examinations.
Joaquín Mora Bertrán, Deputy General Manager of Golf, Beach Club and F&B at INFINITUM: “We are delighted to host DP World Tour Qualifying School Final Stage for the eighth consecutive year.
“Our relationship with the European Tour Group has lasted for more than 13 years, and we hope to continue working together for many more. At INFINITUM, we strive for excellence in every detail, and we couldn’t be more grateful to count on the prestige of the DP World Tour year after year.”
Key Dates For 2026
Entries for DP World Tour Qualifying School will open on June 9, 2026.
Second Stage will take place in Spain from October 29 to November 1, before Final Stage is contested at INFINITUM from November 6-11, 2026.
By the end of those six final rounds, 15 players and ties will have earned their shot at the DP World Tour for 2027. Everyone else will be left with the usual Q-School souvenirs: scorecards, scar tissue, and the knowledge that golf gives nothing away without first checking your nerve.
