Love Live Golf aims to publish accurate, independent and useful golf journalism. This page explains the principles we follow when reporting, editing, correcting and publishing our work.

What readers should expect from us.
Accuracy
We aim to verify facts, figures, names, dates, quotes and claims before publication.
Independence
Editorial judgement is kept separate from advertising and commercial relationships.
Attribution
We aim to make clear where important information, quotations and claims originate.
Context
We try to explain why a development matters rather than simply repeat an announcement.
Fairness
Where significant criticism or disputed claims are central to a story, we aim to represent relevant context fairly.
Accountability
When we make a substantive factual error, we aim to correct or clarify it appropriately.
Where our information comes from.
Love Live Golf may use interviews, official statements, governing-body information, tournament data, company announcements, research, public records, first-hand reporting and other credible sources.
When a claim is significant, unusual or potentially disputed, we aim to verify it against an appropriate source before publication. Where information comes directly from another organisation or publication, attribution should be clear.
Anonymous sources may be used in limited circumstances where there is a legitimate editorial reason to protect a source and the information can be assessed responsibly.
Quoted accurately.
Direct quotations should reflect what a source actually said. Minor edits for obvious transcription errors, repetition or clarity should not materially alter meaning.
Strong, but supportable.
Headlines and standfirsts should accurately reflect the underlying article and should not materially exaggerate what the reporting supports.
Advertising does not buy an editorial conclusion.
Love Live Golf may work with advertisers, sponsors, destinations, manufacturers, events and other commercial partners. These relationships do not guarantee independent editorial coverage, favourable reviews or a particular editorial outcome.
Paid or commercially supported content should be identified appropriately so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work.
Products, press trips, hospitality, event access and review samples may be accepted where relevant. Their provision does not remove our editorial discretion.
When something is wrong, we review it.
If we identify, or are alerted to, a substantive factual error, we aim to review the issue promptly and correct or clarify the article where appropriate.
Minor typographical or formatting changes may be made without a correction note. Significant changes may be identified within the article where appropriate.
Request a correction or clarification
Identify the article, explain the issue and provide supporting information where available.
Our judgement remains our own.
Where Love Live Golf reviews or recommends equipment, destinations, services or experiences, we aim to make the basis of that assessment clear and distinguish independent editorial opinion from paid promotion.
Where a product, trip or experience has been supplied without charge, that fact should be disclosed where relevant to readers.
Relevant interests should be disclosed.
Editors and contributors should disclose relationships that could reasonably be seen as relevant to the subject of their work, including employment, consultancy, sponsorship, investments or close personal relationships.
