The ‘Major of the Middle East’ Goes Greener with Reflo

The Hero Dubai Desert Classic has made a statement about where elite golf is heading next — and it’s wearing Reflo. The sustainable performancewear brand has been confirmed as the tournament’s Official Clothing Partner for the 2026 edition and beyond, extending a relationship that began last year and turning it into something far more permanent.

For a tournament that has become the ‘Major of the Middle East’, this is not just a tidy logo swap. The Desert Classic returns to Emirates Golf Club from 22–25 January, and it does so carrying a sustainability badge it’s earned the hard way — GEO-certified for three consecutive years — while Reflo arrives with the sort of eco-credentials that are increasingly difficult to ignore, even if you’re the kind of golfer who still thinks “recycled” belongs in the bin rather than your mid-layer.

A partnership built for performance and sustainability

If you’re wondering whether this is another corporate handshake dressed up as a “journey”, the tournament director is keen to make the point that both sides see it as practical, not performative.

Simon Corkill, Executive Tournament Director of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Reflo as our Official Clothing Partner. This partnership is built on shared values – both organisations are committed to delivering world-class performance while prioritising environmental responsibility.

Reflo’s approach to sustainability is genuinely pioneering, from their use of recycled materials to their innovative Reloop programme, and it aligns perfectly with our own sustainability initiatives as a GEO-certified event.

That last bit matters on site. When an event has GEO certification and keeps renewing it, it means the sustainability effort is being measured, audited, and improved — not merely announced with a flourish and forgotten by the next tee time.

Who is Reflo and what makes the kit different?

Reflo is a Dubai-founded brand (launched in 2021) that has built its name in sustainable sportswear with golf at the centre — but with a wider reach that includes runners, gym-goers, tennis and padel players.

The core proposition is simple enough for anyone who has ever looked at a polyester label and sighed: performance wear made predominantly from recycled polyester derived from single-use plastic waste destined for landfill, using less energy and producing less carbon than virgin polyester.

But Reflo’s pitch doesn’t stop at fabric choice. The company says it plants a tree for every product sold, uses no single-use plastics in its supply chain, and delivers garments in fully biodegradable packaging. To date, Reflo reports it has planted over 125,000 trees and recycled more than 2.7M plastic bottles.

Rory MacFadyen, Co-Founder of Reflo, added: “Partnering on this level with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic is a milestone moment for Reflo. This tournament embodies everything we stand for – world-class performance, innovation, and a genuine commitment to sustainability.

The Hero Dubai Desert Classic has set the standard for environmentally responsible golf events through its GEO certification and year-on-year improvements, and we’re honoured to support their mission.

“Dubai is where Reflo was born, so to partner with the city’s most iconic golf tournament feels like being at home. We can’t wait to showcase our sustainable performancewear to the world’s best players and golf fans from around the globe.”

It’s a neat alignment, and also a convenient one: a Dubai-born brand outfitting Dubai’s flagship golf week. You can file that under “marketing that actually makes geographical sense”.

What fans will see at Emirates Golf Club

Dubai Desert Classic x Reflo

This isn’t a quiet, behind-the-scenes partnership where the kit appears only in a staff polo. As Official Clothing Partner, Reflo will have a significant presence at Emirates Golf Club throughout tournament week, including prominent branding and a retail presence in Tournament Town — the key detail for anyone who prefers to touch fabrics before they trust them.

In practical terms, expect Reflo gear to be highly visible on-site and easily accessible for fans who want to see the product up close, rather than squinting at a sleeve from behind the ropes and guessing whether it’s “technical” or just expensive.

Tournament Town doubles: music, food and family fun

The Desert Classic has been leaning into its festival identity for a while, and 2026 looks like the year it turns the dial up another notch. Tournament Town returns double the size, bringing live music on Family Friday, a full weekend programme of hands-on sustainability workshops, creative activities and roaming entertainment.

The new headline addition is Eat Street, described as a culinary hub with food trucks, seating, and a giant LED screen so you can keep an eye on the golf while deciding whether the third snack of the day counts as lunch.

It’s a sensible formula: world-class golf on one side, winter sunshine and a family-friendly day out on the other — with Reflo’s sustainable performancewear sitting right in the middle, like the official uniform of a tournament that wants to look modern without losing its tradition.

Tickets and hospitality: prices and key details

If you’re planning the trip — or you’ve got friends who insist golf is “too expensive to watch” — the ticketing is refreshingly straightforward.

  • General Admission is free on Thursday, 22 January and Friday, 23 January.
  • Weekend adult tickets: AED 100 in advance or AED 125 at the door for Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January.
  • Under 17s: free entry across all four days when registered and accompanied by an adult.

For hospitality upgrades:

  • The Social on Sixteen overlooking the iconic 16th hole starts from AED 695.
  • The Dallah Lounge with all-day inclusive gourmet dining starts from AED 2,100.

And yes, it’s still Dubai, so “winter sunshine” is not a metaphor. It’s the real thing — and if you’re going, you may find yourself appreciating performancewear more than you expected, particularly the breathable, quick-drying sort. Which, conveniently, is exactly where Reflo wants to live.
