Gridiron Meets Golf: Topgolf Glasgow Unveils Field Goal Challenge

Topgolf Glasgow has decided golf alone wasn’t enough this autumn. Now it’s mixing a bit of the NFL into the fairway with the launch of its brand-new Field Goal Challenge, a game where players swap the gridiron for the driving bay and try to split virtual uprights with a golf ball.

“At Topgolf, we love creating moments that bring Players together,” said Josh Belkin, Topgolf SVP Revenue Management & Player Engagement. “From splitting the uprights in our new Field Goal Challenge game to cheering on your team with friends, Topgolf is the place to be part of the fun this autumn.”

From Bay to Ballpark

Think of it as golf with shoulder pads—minus the tackling and the concussion protocol. The challenge is simple: pick your distance, line up your shot, and send the ball hurtling through glowing uprights on-screen.

In Free Play, you get to choose from five distances to hone your aim. In The Challenge mode, things get spicy: ten attempts to nail five kicks from shifting yardages. Bragging rights are very much on the line.

Sport on Tap

Of course, Topgolf Glasgow isn’t just about the swing. Beyond the bays, it’s one of the city’s prime spots to catch live sport. The venue is stuffed with high-definition screens showing everything from the Premier League to the NFL. You can sit back in the Sports Bar or watch from your own bay while you cheer for your team—or jeer at your mate who slices one 20 yards wide of the post.

Timing the Kickoff

The launch lands just as the American football season gets underway in both the UK and the US. It’s a neat bit of scheduling, giving fans in Glasgow a chance to combine tailgate vibes with a seven-iron in hand.

Whether you know your playbooks inside out or just fancy a laugh with friends, the Field Goal Challenge is built for fun, competition, and the sort of unforgettable moments that make a night out feel like game day.
