The Vietnam Golf Coast is about to look less like a sleepy stretch of sand and more like Times Square at rush hour.
Clubs across the region are rolling out their busiest schedule yet, teeing up a season stuffed with international tournaments that promise more drama than a Ryder Cup team dinner.
What was once Asia’s best-kept golfing secret has become a heavyweight hub, where championship courses meet scenery so staggering you’ll swear someone airbrushed it.
Throw in five-star hospitality and a pint or two of Vietnamese charm, and you’ve got the recipe for Southeast Asia’s newest golf pilgrimage.
Ba Na Hills Kicks Off the Party

The festivities begin on Saturday, 13 September 2025, with the IMG Trophy at Ba Na Hills Golf Club, a mountain masterpiece that’s less a golf course and more a shrine to Luke Donald’s design talents. Over 130 players from home and abroad will chase glory here, all while soaking in views that make Augusta look like your local muni.
“The IMG Trophy brings together skill, friendship, and the unmatched beauty of our surroundings,” said Simon Mees, General Manager of Ba Na Hills Golf Club. “Players will face a course that rewards precision while experiencing the cultural warmth and spectacular landscapes that make Central Vietnam so special.”
It’s hardly an exaggeration. The club is just 30 minutes from Da Nang and has been stacking up awards like Phil Mickelson stacks Callaway wedges. Six straight nods as Asia’s and Vietnam’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards, a place in Golf Digest’s World Top 100, and the small matter of being named Asia’s Best Luxury Golf Course in both 2023 and 2024.
And if the IMG Trophy isn’t enough, Ba Na Hills will also stage the Vietnam World Masters 2025 — a weeklong festival where amateur golfers from every corner of the globe swap scorecards by day and beers by night.
Laguna Lang Co Joins the Fray

Further north, Laguna Golf Lang Co is hardly sitting this one out. The Sir Nick Faldo–designed championship track, famous for weaving through jungle, rice paddies, and coastal dunes, will host a hat-trick of marquee events: the Cobra Puma Pro Ams Charity Event in September, the Vietnam Golf Course Owner Summit in October, and the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) gathering in November.
“This autumn’s schedule shows how firmly Central Vietnam is on the global golfing map,” said Gavin Herholdt, Managing Director of Laguna Lang Co. “From major tournaments to industry gatherings, our courses are attracting players, decision-makers, and fans from all over the world — and they’re discovering a region that delivers both sporting excellence and an unforgettable sense of place.”
That “sense of place” isn’t marketing fluff, either. Laguna Lang Co sits within a luxury resort that feels like a Bond villain’s hideout — if the villain had swapped world domination for perfect fairways and Michelin-star dining.
A Golf Destination Growing in Power
The Vietnam Golf Coast is no longer just dangling its feet in the shallow end of golf tourism; it’s diving headfirst into the deep pool.
With favourable weather, a surge in international flights, and relentless investment in both events and facilities, Central Vietnam has made itself irresistible to touring pros, amateur hopefuls, and industry bigwigs alike.
By the looks of this autumn’s calendar, Vietnam hasn’t just joined the conversation — it’s shouting from the rooftops, and the golfing world is finally listening.
