Nominations Open for 2025 Women in Golf Awards as New Category Celebrates Content Creators

The Women in Golf Awards are back for their fourth edition, and the nominations window is now officially open—closing, like Cinderella’s carriage, at midnight on September 30th.

This year’s ceremony promises to be bigger than ever, with nine categories recognising women who keep the golf industry ticking—whether they’re shaping global brands, mowing fairways, or telling the game’s stories online.

And speaking of stories, there’s a brand-new gong up for grabs: the Content Creator Award, celebrating women producing golf content across broadcast, print, social media, and digital platforms.

In other words, the people who make sure golf is more than just scorecards and handicaps—it’s a narrative.

Categories and Sponsors

The full lineup of categories, each backed by a heavyweight sponsor, includes:

  • Unsung Hero – sponsored by England Golf
  • Brand of the Year – sponsored by the BGIA
  • International Woman – sponsored by Perry Ellis
  • Women’s Initiative – sponsored by PING
  • Women in Turfcare – sponsored by BIGGA
  • Women PGA Professional or Assistant Professional – sponsored by TGI Golf Partnership
  • Women’s Leadership – sponsored by the GCMA
  • Rising Star – sponsored by Acushnet
  • Content Creator – sponsored by The Loop

Anyone looking to nominate must provide not just glowing words, but proof—examples of the nominee’s impact in their field. Independent judges will be assessing the entries on the detail and quality of responses.

Ceremony at Foxhills

Finalists won’t just get bragging rights. The three shortlisted candidates in each category will be invited to the awards ceremony at Foxhills on November 27th. They’ll also secure a place at the 2026 Education and Insights Day, ensuring this isn’t just a night of applause but a genuine platform for development.

Founder Nicole Wheatley put it simply: “The continued support of our sponsors year-on-year, and the addition of two new high-profile sponsors in The Loop and Acushnet, shows how serious the industry is about retaining and attracting female talent.

I am proud to be able to provide a platform for these women to shine and meet one another and am already looking forward to seeing the event come together this November.”

Tickets and Access

For those who fancy a night celebrating golf’s leading women, the ticket ballot remains open via the official Women in Golf Awards website.

A small number of paid tickets will also be released later in the year, with a waiting list already in place.

The Women in Golf Awards have steadily grown into a cornerstone event, honouring women at every stage of their careers across every discipline in the sport.

With new categories, new sponsors, and a sharper spotlight than ever, 2025 looks set to be the year this celebration truly swings into the mainstream.
