Victor Perez has swung open a new chapter in his career, signing with Cleeks Golf Club as the team locks in its final roster spot for 2026. For Perez, the first Frenchman to join LIV Golf, this move drops him straight into a league that keeps reshaping the sport whether the old guard likes it or not.
Cleeks, one of the 13 teams in the LIV Golf League, wanted firepower and personality. Perez brings both. At 33, he joins a multicultural squad featuring players from Germany, Poland, England and now France. His LIV Golf debut will come at the 2026 season opener at LIV Golf Riyadh presented by ROSHN — a fitting stage for a player who never shies from a bright spotlight.
Perez turned pro in 2015 and spent the next decade quietly stockpiling wins. The 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the 2022 Dutch Open, the 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship — all tidy pieces of evidence that he can win whenever the course gives him an inch. He also represented France at the Paris Olympics in 2024, all while building a reputation for style and a modern, confident take on the game. Cleeks Golf Club loves that sort of edge.
“Joining Cleeks Golf Club for the 2026 season feels like joining golf’s next great chapter, as this club continues to push boundaries, perform at the highest level, and bring fresh energy and vision to the game,” Perez said. “The sport’s growth has been incredible, and LIV Golf’s innovation and energy are driving it forward. I’m excited to be part of that momentum and can’t wait to get started in Riyadh.”
Perez steps into a team captained by Martin Kaymer — Germany’s two-time major winner — alongside English veteran Richard Bland and Poland’s Adrian Meronk, who opened the 2025 season by winning at LIV Golf Riyadh. With Perez joining the squad, Cleeks are no longer pretending about their ambitions for 2026; they’re aiming straight at the upper tier.
“There’s been tremendous interest in joining Cleeks Golf Club, and we’re thrilled to welcome Victor as the final piece of our roster,” said Kaymer. “With LIV Golf driving innovation in the game, we’re focused on building not just a stronger team but also contributing to building the next generation of global golf stars. Victor embodies the precision and passion that will help us forge that path.”
Cleeks have always leaned into more than just results. Their partnerships with Public Drip, artist Jacob Felländer and the Art of Golf campaign show a team trying to stitch performance, fashion, and culture into a single identity. Perez fits that bill neatly — another reason the club moved decisively to bring him onboard.
“Victor is a world-class player who embodies everything Cleeks Golf Club stands for,” said Jonas Martensson, the club’s General Manager. “He has the talent, the mindset, and the style to elevate our team both on the course and beyond it. We’re delighted to welcome him into the Cleeks family.”
Victor Perez will make his first appearance for Cleeks in February at the season-opener in Riyadh, where the team’s reshaped identity finally hits the course. With momentum already building and a marquee name now stitched into the lineup, expectations for 2026 aren’t modest — they’re deliberate.
