Dalaman’s New Golf Course Has 55 Bunkers and an Unlimited-Golf Deal

Türkiye has a new name on its golfing map, with a championship course on the Mediterranean coast, seven-night unlimited-golf holidays and a Hilton resort next door. The prices are appealing, but there is rather more to Dalaman than the promise of another round.

A three-round golf holiday is straightforward enough to plan. An unlimited-golf week demands rather more honesty about just how much time you really want to spend on a course.

That is the proposition at The Dalaman Golf Club, Türkiye’s newest golf destination, which opened in September 2026 and is now offering a series of golf breaks through the neighbouring Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Golf.

Four-night packages start at €814 per person, while the headline offer is a seven-night, ultra-all-inclusive stay with unlimited golf from €1,414.

For golfers who tend to finish their final scheduled round wondering if they can squeeze in another 18, the longer package will certainly attract attention.

But the more interesting development is the course itself.

Dalaman is entering the golf holiday market with an 18-hole championship layout designed by International Design Group, an established luxury resort alongside it and a location approximately 20 minutes from Dalaman International Airport.

It is an interesting combination for a destination making its first impression on travelling golfers.

The Dalaman Golf Club: 55 bunkers and plenty of water

A new golf course can offer spectacular views, impressive facilities and a polished clubhouse. Eventually, though, somebody has to stand on the first tee and work out where to hit the ball.

At Dalaman, there appears to be plenty to think about.

The par-72 championship course measures 6,152 metres (6,728 yards) from the back tees. Its design incorporates 55 strategically positioned bunkers, 15 natural water hazards and significant changes in elevation.

Those are substantial ingredients for an 18-hole layout, particularly one occupying a landscape of pine forests, wetlands and Mediterranean coastline.

The course has been designed to take advantage of its natural surroundings, with uninterrupted views towards the Mediterranean forming part of the experience.

The combination of bunkering, water and changing elevation suggests that choosing the right line may matter considerably more than simply reaching for the driver at every opportunity.

Of course, a collection of hazards does not automatically produce an outstanding golf course. How those features influence shot selection, reward good decisions and punish poor ones is what ultimately gives a layout its character.

Dalaman has an interesting architectural brief. How effectively that translates into 18 holes will become clearer as more golfers experience it.

The course has been constructed on naturally sandy soil, with sustainable construction practices forming part of the project.

Given the surrounding wetlands and biodiversity, its long-term relationship with the landscape will also be worth watching. Specific information about ongoing water management and environmental performance has not been detailed.

For visiting golfers, there is more than the main course.

Practice facilities include a driving range equipped with TrackMan technology, extensive short-game areas and a new clubhouse.

That should give players the opportunity to prepare properly before tackling the course, or spend a little time working out why yesterday’s approach shots kept finding the wrong side of the green.

What do the Dalaman golf holiday packages cost?

The new accommodation and golf packages offer three different lengths of stay, with the main distinction being how much golf is included.

LOVE LIVE GOLF / TRAVEL NOTE
All prices are starting rates per person. Four- and five-night packages include three rounds of golf, while the seven-night package offers unlimited golf. Prices and availability may vary depending on your travel dates.

All three options are based on two people sharing a room at Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Golf, with ultra-all-inclusive accommodation.

A shared buggy is included with every round.

The four-night package is the more conventional golf break, offering three rounds without requiring a full week away.

Interestingly, choosing five nights does not increase the number of included rounds. Instead, it provides additional time to enjoy the resort or spread the golf over a more relaxed schedule.

For golfers travelling with partners or friends who have different ideas about how a holiday should be spent, that extra flexibility could prove useful.

The seven-night package is where the offer becomes particularly interesting.

Unlimited golf changes the calculation. Rather than counting the rounds included in the booking, golfers can decide how much they genuinely want to play.

That could be attractive to those who enjoy returning to the same course, learning its subtleties and discovering whether a second attempt produces a more respectable score.

There is one practical detail worth establishing before booking: the precise terms governing unlimited golf, including tee-time availability and any booking restrictions, are not specified in the advertised package information.

Anybody imagining two rounds every day would be sensible to confirm the arrangements first.

Guests can also upgrade to a Sea View Guest Room, although the additional cost has not been stated. A 15 per cent discount on treatments at the resort’s Elysion Spa is included among the package benefits.

The published package periods run until the end of November 2026 and from 5 March to 17 September 2027. These are the advertised package dates rather than confirmation that the course is unavailable outside those periods.

Golf may be the reason for booking, but the accommodation has a sizeable role to play in making the trip worthwhile.

Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Golf opened in 2009 and occupies a riverside location close to the meeting point of the Aegean and Mediterranean.

The resort offers luxury accommodation, a private beach, sports and leisure facilities, and a selection of restaurants and bars serving Turkish and international cuisine.

Its ultra-all-inclusive format gives the golf packages a different character from trips built around separate hotel bookings, green fees and evenings spent finding somewhere to eat.

There is also the appeal of having a developed resort sitting alongside a newly opened golf course.

The destination is not asking visitors to sacrifice established holiday facilities simply to experience somewhere new to play.

That distinction matters, especially for a longer stay.

Seven nights of unlimited golf might sound like the perfect holiday to an enthusiastic club golfer, but the option of a beach, a spa or an afternoon away from the fairways is hardly an inconvenience.

Dalaman’s accessibility is another practical advantage.

The golf club is approximately 20 minutes from Dalaman International Airport, making the journey from arrival to resort comparatively straightforward.

For a four-night break, where every hour away from the golf course is noticeable, that proximity could be particularly welcome.

Flights and airport transfers are not specifically identified among the advertised package inclusions, so those arrangements should be checked when comparing the overall cost of a trip.

A new alternative for golf holidays in Türkiye

The Dalaman Golf Club is described as the first golf venue in its region, giving this part of Türkiye a new proposition for international golfers.

Its setting is certainly different from the image of a golf development built around rows of fairways and accommodation.

Here, the surrounding forests, wetlands and Mediterranean coastline are integral to the destination’s identity.

International Design Group has worked those natural features into a championship layout, while the established Hilton resort provides the accommodation and hospitality infrastructure.

The result is a golf holiday built around one new course rather than an itinerary of multiple venues.

That is both its attraction and its challenge.

For golfers who enjoy becoming familiar with a layout, identifying the safest side of a fairway and gradually discovering where shots can be gained, the opportunity to play repeatedly is appealing.

Those who prefer a different course every day may place greater value on variety.

Neither approach is necessarily better. It depends on what somebody wants from a golf holiday.

The Dalaman Golf Club’s longer package clearly favours players who are happy to invest their time in getting to know one course.

Is the unlimited-golf package worth considering?

At €1,414 per person for seven nights, the unlimited-golf package will invite comparisons with shorter breaks, particularly from golfers whose main priority is spending as much time playing as possible.

The four- and five-night alternatives offer a more measured introduction, with three included rounds and considerably less time required away from home.

What cannot yet be established from the course specifications and package details alone is the quality of the playing experience.

Course conditioning, the interest of individual holes and how the layout rewards repeat visits will matter far more than the number of bunkers on a website.

Those are questions golfers will answer as Dalaman establishes itself.

For now, the destination has several things in its favour: a new championship course, a distinctive coastal setting, established resort facilities and packages that give visitors different ways to experience it.

The unlimited-golf option is an effective invitation, but the real measure of Dalaman’s success will be much simpler.

After playing the course once, will golfers be looking forward to playing it again?

For a new destination hoping to become a regular fixture on the golfing calendar, that is the round that matters.
