Dustin Johnson Brings Star Power to International Series Philippines

Two-time Major champion Dustin Johnson is heading to the Philippines this October, confirming his place in the International Series Philippines presented by BingoPlus.

The former World No.1 will tee it up at Sta. Elena Golf Club from 23–26 October 2025, joining a heavyweight field already stacked with Major winners Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Charl Schwartzel, and Louis Oosthuizen.

This isn’t just another tournament for Johnson; it’s another chance to remind the golfing world why his name still carries the weight of a sledgehammer.

The American, who once ruled the sport with the kind of icy calm that makes poker players jealous, last appeared on The International Series stage at the 2024 PIF Saudi International. Now, he’s set to electrify the fairways of Manila.

Johnson’s CV reads like a greatest-hits album. He lifted the 2016 U.S. Open trophy at Oakmont with a steely four-under-par 276 and tore apart Augusta National in 2020 to win the Masters with a record-setting 20-under-par.

He’s held World No.1 status for more than 130 weeks across his career, including a 64-week unbroken run starting in February 2017 — the fifth-longest reign in history. Six World Golf Championships, a Ryder Cup demolition job (5-0 at Whistling Straits in 2021), and near-misses at The Open and U.S. Open only add more colour to his legacy.

But Johnson isn’t just a relic of the past. He was one of the earliest stars to throw his lot in with LIV Golf, where he promptly won the LIV Golf Invitational Boston, captained 4Aces GC to the Team Championship, and claimed the inaugural Individual Season Championship. This year, at 41, he’s still turning up with five top-10s, including a tidy third-place finish in Indianapolis.

And he sounds as hungry as ever. “What I love most about the game is that it takes me to places I might never have gone otherwise, and the Philippines is one of those places.

To be able to play in front of new fans, experience a different culture, and share the excitement of world-class golf in a country that’s still discovering the sport — that’s really special for me,” said Johnson.

He added: “The International Series is also a perfect fit for where I’m at in my career. Even though the LIV Golf season is over, I still want to compete, stay sharp, and challenge myself against some of the best players out here.

Playing these events keeps me fresh, keeps me hungry, and at the same time helps grow the game in parts of the world that deserve to see it up close.”

With Johnson’s name now etched onto the entry list, fans in the Philippines can expect a tournament brimming with theatre. The International Series Philippines is the sixth of nine elevated events on the Asian Tour schedule, offering players from around the world a direct pathway into LIV Golf through its season-long Rankings race.

And it won’t just be about the golf. The week promises headline concerts, live music, gourmet dining, premium hospitality, and fan experiences that will light up Sta. Elena alongside the action on the fairways.

For Filipino golf fans, October can’t come soon enough. Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Charl Schwartzel, Louis Oosthuizen — this isn’t just a field, it’s a travelling circus of champions. And the big top is rolling into Manila.
