Rahm Goes Clutch, Puig Breaks Out, Bubba Comes Back: LIV’s Winners

The confetti has barely settled and LIV Golf is already pointing the spotlight at the next tee box, but first it wanted receipts. The LIV Golf Showcase winners are now official, with the league revealing the inaugural set of honours celebrating the most compelling performances, pivotal moments and loudest storylines from the 2025 season.

In total, 22 awards were spread across 13 different players and 12 different teams, a neat little reminder that while the league has its headliners, it also has depth — and a knack for turning highlights into headlines.

The biggest prizes went to MVP Joaquín Niemann (Torque GC), Breakout Star of the Year David Puig (Fireballs GC), Clutch Player of the Year Jon Rahm (Legion XIII), Shot of the Year Phil Mickelson (HyFlyers GC), and Comeback Player of the Year Bubba Watson (RangeGoats GC).

LGW Shot of the Year

Some awards recognised consistent excellence; others were pure “rewind that” theatre.

Bryson DeChambeau was at the heart of the loudest hardware haul, winning Drive of the Year thanks to a 410.8-yard strike at LIV Golf Mexico City 2025, and Win of the Year for his performance at LIV Golf Korea 2025 — a one-two that anchored Crushers GC’s two-award night.

Phil Mickelson doubled up as well, taking the headline Shot of the Year and the mischievous Can I Get a Mulligan (Right Idea, Wrong Result) award. Meanwhile 4Aces GC added two nods via Patrick Reed’s ace at LIV Golf Adelaide 2025 (Moment of the Year) and Dustin Johnson’s Houdini act in Singapore (Escape Artist / Season’s Greatest Save).

YouTube golf gets its flowers too

Following its broadcast on FS1, The LIV Golf Showcase is available on LIV Golf’s YouTube Channel — fitting, given that two awards leaned directly into YouTube golf culture and the league’s viral series, “The Duels.”

The show featured a special appearance from Fat Perez (Bob Does Sports), who accepted Under the Influence – Best Golf Influencer Moment of the Year on behalf of Bob Does Sports.

Inside the concept: an animated 18-hole awards course

Produced by EverWonder Studio and Lost Tribe Productions, the Showcase was built as an animated, interactive 18-hole course, blending a traditional awards format with player conversations, challenges and immersive visuals. Newly added LIV Golf broadcaster Henni Zuël guided viewers between the animated world and the studio set where the hardware was handed out.

“The LIV Golf Showcase reflects the dynamic spectrum of what our League represents,” said Chris Heck, President of Business Operations at LIV Golf. “From traditional performance-driven honors – like MVP – to recognition that celebrates impact, personality, and creativity, these awards showcase the layered storytelling that defines LIV Golf – where elite individual golf competition meets dynamic team play throughout the season.”

Next stop: Riyadh, and LIV’s fourth full season

The LIV Golf Showcase serves as a full-stop on 2025 — and a runway into 2026. The league’s fourth full season begins February 4–7 with ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia, opening a global schedule of 14 events in 10 countries across five continents, including stops in Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the league’s first-ever South Africa event (March 19–22).

For now, the winners have their trophies. Next, they go back to trying to take each other’s heads off — politely, of course, with a driver.
