Brooks Koepka has won five major championships, but there is one thing missing from his golfing CV: a TGL appearance. That changes in 2027, when he becomes the headline name in Motor City Golf Club, the league’s first expansion team.
The complete TGL 2027 rosters reveal a competition growing to seven teams, with 35 players, five-man squads and a dozen newcomers preparing for their league debuts. Tiger Woods remains at Jupiter Links Golf Club, Rory McIlroy continues with Boston Common Golf and defending champions Los Angeles Golf Club have decided that winning is a rather good reason not to change too much.
Between them, the players account for 38 major championships, 257 PGA Tour victories and 114 combined Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup appearances.
There is serious pedigree here. There is also a noticeable difference in how the clubs are approaching their third season.
Brooks Koepka gives Motor City an immediate presence
Motor City Golf Club might be starting from scratch, but its recruitment suggests little interest in making up the numbers.
Koepka supplies the major championship experience, although Jackson Koivun is arguably the more intriguing addition. The young American won the 3M Open in just his third professional start and followed that by going unbeaten on his Presidents Cup debut, recording two wins and a half.
He will have experienced company.
Si Woo Kim brings a résumé that includes the 2017 Players Championship, while Jake Knapp adds to a pairing responsible for five PGA Tour victories between them.
Bud Cauley completes the line-up after winning his first PGA Tour title at the 2026 RBC Canadian Open, another milestone in his recovery from injuries sustained in a serious car accident in 2018.
Motor City will enter the league with five players who have never previously represented a TGL team. There is talent throughout the squad, although translating that into results against established opponents will be a different challenge.
Shane Lowry’s switch gives Boston another major winner
The first trade in TGL history has sent Shane Lowry from The Bay Golf Club to Boston Common Golf, placing the Irishman alongside McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama and Michael Thorbjornsen.
Boston’s improvement has already been substantial.
Winless during the inaugural 2025 campaign, the team topped the regular-season SoFi Cup standings in 2026 before losing to Jupiter Links in the semi-finals.
Thorbjornsen now moves from alternate to full-time player. He supplied six of Boston’s league-leading 16 putts from 10 feet or longer last season and subsequently claimed his first PGA Tour victory at the Rocket Classic.
Lowry’s arrival strengthens a squad that hardly lacked experience in the first place.
The Bay, meanwhile, have responded with reigning Open champion Ryan Fox and 19-year-old Blades Brown.
Brown became the youngest golfer to earn a PGA Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour, finishing ninth on the 2026 points list. He joins Wyndham Clark, Min Woo Lee and Ludvig Åberg.
Clark arrives off a three-win PGA Tour season that included his second US Open title. The Bay missed the TGL playoffs in 2026, so there is a clear incentive to turn that individual quality into better team results.
Los Angeles keep the winning formula while rivals strengthen
Los Angeles Golf Club have taken the least complicated approach to defending their SoFi Cup.
Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Sahith Theegala all return from the championship-winning side that swept Jupiter Links in the 2026 Finals, completing the job with a 9-2 victory.
Ben James becomes their fifth player after topping the 2026 PGA Tour University Ranking and earning his PGA Tour card.
Atlanta Drive GC, champions in 2025, have made more changes.
Chris Gotterup graduates from alternate to full-time status following three PGA Tour victories in 2026. He also shared the TGL regular-season lead with five Singles Holes Won.
Michael Brennan joins Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas and Billy Horschel to complete the squad, having won the Wyndham Championship and Baycurrent Classic during 2026.
Jupiter Links retain Woods, Max Homa and Tom Kim, the latter responsible for a memorable hole-in-one in the regular-season finale that helped secure their playoff place.
Akshay Bhatia moves into a permanent role after contributing to Jupiter’s semi-final victory over Boston, while Keith Mitchell arrives with impressive driving credentials. Mitchell ranked fourth on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee in 2026.
New York Golf Club have also freshened up after missing the 2026 playoffs, having reached the inaugural Finals a year earlier.
Ben Griffin and Alex Fitzpatrick join Matt Fitzpatrick, Cameron Young and Rickie Fowler.
The Fitzpatrick brothers arrive with a little shared history of their own, becoming the first brothers to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans as a team in 2026. Young, meanwhile, won both The Players Championship and Cadillac Championship this season.

For all the fresh faces, Los Angeles enter 2027 with something Motor City cannot yet match: four players who already know what it takes to win a TGL championship together.
Koepka and company will have to build their own history. At least they have given everyone a very good reason to pay attention.
