LIV Golf Lands on TNT Sports in Major UK Deal

If you like your golf with a bit more volume on the dial, LIV Golf has just found a new home in the UK and Ireland. TNT Sports has announced a fresh multi-year agreement to add the league to its channels and platforms, with every one of the 14 global events set to air on TNT Sports and its streaming platform discovery+ from January 2026.

And they’re not easing into it with a polite, sunlit opener and a cardigan. Live coverage of the 2026 season begins February 4-7 at the ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh, staged at Riyadh Golf Club with all four rounds played under lights — a prime-time spectacle that doubles as the world’s largest professional night golf tournament. Golf, but with floodlights and intent.

All 14 events, ten countries, five continents — and a first in South Africa

TNT Sports and discovery+ will broadcast the full season: 14 events across ten countries and five continents. The itinerary includes the league’s first-ever event in South Africa (March 19-22), alongside stops in Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, the USA, the UK and more.

As the UK and Ireland broadcast partner, TNT Sports says it will aim to bring on-site presentation and wall-to-wall coverage throughout the LIV Golf season, with more detail on scheduling and production plans promised in the coming weeks. In plain English: the cameras are travelling, and the storytelling will be turned up.

A longer format from 2026: four days, 72 holes, bigger canvas

From 2026, LIV Golf events will move to four days and 72 holes — a notable shift that offers more breathing room for leaderboards to turn, for teams to swing momentum, and for viewers to settle in for something closer to golf’s traditional rhythm, without losing the league’s faster heartbeat.

The coming season is set to feature 57 players across 13 teams, plus five Wild Card entrants. The cast list reads like a major championship leaderboard that wandered into a concert venue: Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Joaquín Niemann, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Tyrrell Hatton, David Puig, Tom McKibbin, Josele Ballester, and more.

TNT Sports: “a leading destination” — and a bet on golf’s new energy

Scott Young, Executive Vice President, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, framed the deal as both a strategic add-on and a subscriber reward, with TNT Sports positioning itself as a one-stop shop for premium live sport.

Scott Young, Executive Vice President, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe said: “Showcasing some of the world’s best male golfers playing on LIV Golf is a positive addition to TNT Sports’ portfolio of premium live sport, further placing our channels and platforms as a leading destination for all the sports you love. It also allows us to further reward our existing base of fans by bringing them huge golf events throughout the year as part of their subscription.

“LIV Golf has an incredible energy and a host of world-class players and we’re excited to bring TNT Sports’ storytelling and production know-how to help bring competitions to even more sports fans. With iconic venues, top players and a compelling newly refreshed format, this partnership allows us to bring fans even more of the stories and action than ever before.”

That word — energy — is doing plenty of heavy lifting, and it’s not wrong. Whatever side of the golf family argument you sit on, LIV Golf has become difficult to ignore: big names, team dynamics, and a global touring model built for modern sports consumption.

LIV Golf: “historic moment” to cement UK footprint

From the league’s side, the tone is clear: this is about credibility, scale, and sharpening the way the product is presented to one of golf’s most influential audiences.

“Our new partnership with TNT Sports represents a historic moment for LIV Golf as we cement our footprint in one of the most important and influential sports territories in the world. TNT Sports delivers sport with intensity, ambition, and scale – qualities that match LIV Golf,” said Örjan Olsson, SVP, International Media Rights at LIV Golf.

“Together, we’re bringing fans in the UK a reimagined golf experience with sharper storytelling, deeper narratives across our League, Teams and players, and unprecedented access to our biggest stars and teams. We’re looking forward to setting a new benchmark with TNT Sports for how golf is presented, experienced, and enjoyed by millions of fans.”

In other words: expect more access, more context, and more of the league’s personality pushed to the front of the broadcast.

Riyadh under lights, then Adelaide in a hurry

The season opener in Riyadh is designed to look different, feel different, and land different — prime time, bright lights, and a setting that’s built to keep attention. Then the league heads to Adelaide, South Australia the following week, returning to an event that attracted more than 100,000 fans in 2025, before moving on through Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Mexico, the USA, Spain and Great Britain across the next six months.

It’s a schedule that reads like a passport flex, and it underlines the league’s central sales pitch: elite golf presented as a global roadshow, with teams and stars as the through-line.

Where this sits in TNT Sports’ wider sports push

TNT Sports is not exactly short of live action already — Premier League, UEFA competitions, the FA Cup, Gallagher PREM rugby, UFC and MotoGP are already in the mix. Adding LIV Golf is a statement of intent: more premium live rights, more year-round subscription value, and another property with enough star power to cut through.

Founded in 2021, LIV Golf staged its inaugural season in 2022 and has since established itself as a major force in the sport’s shifting landscape — blending competition with entertainment and culture, and putting its biggest names on a global circuit designed for modern audiences.

For golf fans in the UK and Ireland, the practical upshot is simple: LIV Golf will be easier to find, easier to follow, and presented with the full TNT Sports treatment from 2026 — starting with night golf in Riyadh, and rolling on from there.
