Henni Zuël Returns “Home” as Buckinghamshire Ambassador

West London’s grandest golfing address has made a statement appointment, with Henni Zuël unveiled as The Buckinghamshire’s new Golf Ambassador—a role that also stretches across the Arora Group’s growing stable of golf and hospitality destinations, including Fairmont Windsor Park and Ryder Cup candidate venue Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa.

It is, in truth, less a debut than a homecoming. Zuël knows this place beyond the brochure gloss. Back in 2012, The Buckinghamshire staged the Ladies’ British Masters, and it doubled as a personal milestone: the first time she played a home championship, staying at home, with friends and family lining the fairways, and even sharing the first-round lead with her childhood idol, Dame Laura Davies. Golf has a long memory, and so do golfers.

“I’ve always felt at home at The Buckinghamshire,” said Henni Zuël. “From my first home championship here to today, this club has been part of my journey in golf. I’m thrilled to be a member and represent a place that stands for exceptional golf, hospitality and community, and to share that experience with members and guests across the Arora portfolio.”

A partnership built on modern golf — and old-fashioned standards

The new partnership links one of the sport’s most recognisable broadcasters and former Ladies European Tour professional with one of the UK’s biggest private, family-owned hospitality businesses. The Arora Group has been steadily assembling a portfolio aimed at people who like their golf serious and their hospitality seamless: championship courses, landmark estates, proper service, and the sort of membership proposition that tries to feel contemporary without forgetting what members actually value.

That positioning is neatly captured in the club’s own phrase: “Membership Reimagined.” The Buckinghamshire is selling a particular blend—world-class golf, an exquisitely restored 17th-century country house, and the rare luxury of being close enough to London to be practical, yet far enough away to feel like an escape. They put it plainly: 15 miles from Notting Hill and 10 miles from Heathrow. Convenience, but with birdsong.

Crucially, the club also leans into its standing in the women’s game. As the home of the Ladies European Tour, The Buckinghamshire has a front-row seat in how elite women’s golf is evolving—competitions, pathways, visibility and the standards expected of venues that want to host meaningful events.

Arora Group: ambition across golf and hospitality

For Arora Group CEO Sanjay Arora, the fit is straightforward: credibility, communication, and a figure who speaks fluently to both traditionalists and new audiences.

Sanjay Arora, CEO of Arora Group, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Henni Zuël to the Arora Group as our new Golf Ambassador. As we continue to accelerate our vision for world-class golf and hospitality, Henni’s expertise as both a celebrated broadcaster and a former professional player makes her the perfect partner to represent our portfolio.”

The Buckinghamshire’s managing director Gerry Ivers framed it as both a return and a signal of intent—an ambassador who can represent the club’s values in a sport where influence increasingly sits with those who can tell the story as well as play the shots.

Gerry Ivers, Managing Director of The Buckinghamshire, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Henni home to The Buckinghamshire as a member and Ambassador. Henni is one of the influential voices and figures in modern golf, as a broadcaster and an advocate. This new partnership underscores the club’s – and the Arora Group’s – commitment to supporting the game and setting new standards in contemporary members’ clubs and resort destinations.”

Beyond one clubhouse: Fairmont Windsor Park and Luton Hoo in focus

The headline may belong to The Buckinghamshire, but Zuël’s brief runs wider. Her ambassadorship extends to the Arora Group properties being positioned as flagship destinations in their own right.

Fairmont Windsor Park, near historic Windsor, is presented as a pinnacle of luxury within the portfolio—built around landscape, calm, and the kind of high-touch hospitality that wants to feel effortless. Meanwhile, Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa is in the middle of a multi-million-pound redevelopment, with plans to relaunch under the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts flag. The aim is clear: elevate a historic estate into a standout sporting and hospitality destination, joining a brand family that includes Fairmont Windsor Park, The Savoy in London, and other global addresses.

In that context, Henni Zuël is not being asked simply to smile for a photo on the first tee. The role is to amplify the narrative: the courses, the estates, the redevelopment, the membership offer, and the wider promise of “excellence, inclusivity and memorable experiences” across the Arora portfolio—phrases that only land if the delivery matches them.

And if anyone can keep a golf venue honest while selling the dream, it’s a broadcaster who’s walked the ropes, played the pressure shots, and knows exactly when the hospitality is truly world-class—and when it’s merely claiming to be.
