Two regular-season tournaments and the team championship are all that remain for the 2025 LIV Golf season.
Chicago makes its fourth consecutive appearance – the only such city to host a LIV tournament every year since the league’s inception.
Bolingbrook Golf Club will serve as a final proving ground for Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm to make a final claim for the season-long individual championship.
Leading the way in points, five-time winner this season, Joaquin Niemann (206.8), can win outright at Chicago with a podium finish. Reigning individual champion Jon Rahm (169.16) and current third-place Bryson DeChambeau (136.24) remain the last two members of the field who can even hope to challenge Niemann.
On the team front, DeChambeau’s Crushers will seek to defend their title as LIV Chicago Champions and will do so against Rahm’s Legion XIII who narrowly pulled off the upset last season.
We are proud to bring you our LIV Fantasy rankings for the 2025 version of LIV Chicago!
Picks by Group
- Bryson DeChambeau– Having led his Crushers to victory at Bolingbrook in 2024, DeChambeau is our pick over favourites Joaquin Niemann and Jon Rahm for LIV Chicago. Rebounding off his season worst finish T30 at Andalucia, Bryson is refocused and ready to make a final push for the individual trophy with his second win of the season. The star of Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2 is sure to entertain fans and draw the huge crowds as he always does.
- Brooks Koepka – If there’s anyone who is in need of a bounce back tournament and has the skill to pull it off, it’s Brooks Koepka. The past couple of tournaments have included a withdrawal and a couple of lousy finishing placements on LIV and a very forgettable performance at The Open, having said that, Koepka is a steal for Group 2. Alongside his friend and co-star of Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2, Koepka is sure to be a featured player this weekend and will receive quite a bit of media attention. Hopefully the later part will give Koepka’s the champions confidence back and make a surprise run for his first win of the season!
- Richard Bland – Bland has been solid for most of the season and will likely find his way to The Lock Zone by the end of the regular season. In order to accomplish that, Bland will need a pair of Top 15 finishes. Luckily for us, his T15 finish in Chicago last season makes this a relatively easy decision. Spoiler: Lahiri is a good option for Group 3 is you don’t want two Cleeks on your fantasy squad.
- Lee Westwood – Westwood has made a recent habit of jumping out of the gate early and making everyone think that this could finally be his weekend. Plan to play Westy on Saturday, but be ready to replace him with the flex option come Sunday.
- Martin Kaymer – Kaymer has had a sneakily good season, and 2025 could be his best to date. The Cleeks captain is currently in 35th place and has finished in the Top 25 three out of the past four tournaments. If Westwood doesn’t perform on Friday, Kaymer is a good replacement, but don’t be too quick to pull the trigger on this flex option.
Picks for Teams
- Legion XIII – Despite a field-worst score of 18-over par from Caleb Surratt at Chicago in 2024, somehow, someway, Legion XIII managed to defy all odds and almost won before falling short by a single stroke to the Crushers. Winners of the most recent tournament, LIV UK, there’s nobody I trust more than Rahm’s Legion XIII to bring home the win in Chicago.
- Crushers – The reigning LIV Chicago champions, the Crushers may be the most reliable team in LIV right now as they are the only team in the league with all four players inside The Lock Zone. Paul Casey was narrowly beat out by Brooks Koepka for my Group 2 representative, but I’m expecting the English star to have a huge tournament along with his captain and Group 1 rep, Bryson DeChambeau.
Remember to set your fantasy roster before Friday when LIV returns to action in Chicago! The action begins at 12:00 Noon ET August 8th. LIV Chicago can be viewed throughout the weekend on the FS1/FS2 and FOX Broadcast.
