Hold onto your tequila and Titleists—LIV Golf Mexico City is coming back for another round of high-altitude heroics.
From April 17 to 19, 2026, the renegade golf league will once again plant its flag at Club de Golf Chapultepec, the storied course nestled in the hills just outside Mexico City. At 7,300 feet above sea level, it’s where golf balls—and sometimes egos—fly a little farther than expected.
This marks LIV’s fourth trip to Mexico and the second time the Mexican capital gets the full treatment: booming tee shots, bass-thumping beats, and a fair dose of fiesta.

Early bird tickets are already flying off the digital shelves at LIVGolf.com/schedule/mexico-city-2026, promising fans three days of world-class golf, live music, tacos, and enough family-friendly fun to distract even the most screen-addicted teenager.
And if last year’s event was anything to go by, you’d be mad to miss it. Torque GC’s captain and Chile’s own golden boy, Joaquin Niemann, took the 2025 individual title in style, while Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII steamrolled the team competition like a piñata full of fireworks.
“Our highly successful Mexico City debut this year reinforced our commitment to one of the world’s great cities where sports, entertainment and culture are on full display,” said Ross Hallett, LIV Golf’s Executive Vice President and Head of Events.
“The passion and excitement from fans across Mexico and Latin America showed the clear demand that exists to see many of the world’s best athletes in a welcoming and festive environment…”
You’ve got to hand it to them. In just a short time, LIV Golf Mexico City has gone from a curiosity to a must-watch. And it’s no coincidence. With a strong Latin American presence—Torque GC’s Niemann, Carlos Ortiz (Mexico), Sebastián Muñoz (Colombia), and Mito Pereira (Chile)—this is as much a homecoming as it is a golf tournament.

Fireballs GC’s Abraham Ancer will also fly the flag for Mexico, backed by his team’s captain, Spanish firebrand Sergio Garcia. That blend of local pride and global star power has quickly made Chapultepec one of LIV’s hottest tickets—both literally and figuratively.
Fabián de Pedro, President of Club de Golf Chapultepec, was practically humming with pride: “At Club de Golf Chapultepec, we are thrilled and proud to announce that, for the second time, we will host the prestigious LIV Golf Mexico City tournament in 2026…
Our course, known for its challenging layout, offers a true test for players… In 2026, they will also find renovations… designed to provide an even more memorable experience.”
Translation: It’s going to play tougher, look sharper, and keep the caddies sweating. Expect tree-lined corridors that narrow faster than your patience on a double-bogey, and greens with more undulation than a mariachi guitarist’s hips.
Benjamín Salinas Sada, Vice President of Grupo Salinas, echoed the sentiment with a broader vision: “We are thrilled to welcome LIV Golf back to Mexico City…
This partnership brings together world-class competition, a vibrant social atmosphere, and entertainment for the whole family — and we’re proud to be part of it.”
And let’s not forget, LIV Golf doesn’t just do golf—it does spectacle. Fans can expect a full-blown festival, complete with live music, international eats, interactive fan zones, and a cultural mash-up that makes this event part golf tournament, part street carnival, part rock concert.
The return of LIV Golf Mexico City is part of a broader global charge for the league in 2026, which includes confirmed stops in Adelaide (Feb 13–15), South Africa (Mar 20–22), and JCB in the UK (July 24–26).
Additional venues are still under wraps, but expect the league to keep poking at traditional golf’s boundaries with its usual mix of irreverence and innovation.
In the meantime, Club de Golf Chapultepec will once again serve as the battleground where legends are made, reputations tested, and golf balls possibly lost forever in the forest canopy.
More ticket options and concert acts will be announced soon. Until then, stock up on sunscreen, learn a few Spanish cheers, and brace yourself—because LIV Golf Mexico City is gearing up to make 2026 muy especial.
