LIV Golf Riyadh is back—and it’s bringing the fireworks. Literally, under the desert stars and stadium lights, the 2026 LIV Golf season will swing into gear from 5–7 February at the Riyadh Golf Club, presented once again by ROSHN Group.
If you thought last year’s illuminated dust-up was a one-off spectacle, think again. This is LIV Golf doing what it does best: tearing up the rulebook, lighting the fairways on fire, and serving golf with a side of rave.
Last year’s debut in Riyadh was LIV’s first crack at night golf, and by all accounts, it wasn’t just bright—it was brilliant. Cleeks Golf Club’s Adrian Meronk claimed a wire-to-wire win and left the crowd buzzing like a power line, while Jon Rahm’s newly formed Legion XIII rolled over the field in the revamped team format like a runaway oil tanker.
And now they’re back for more.
“Together, with ROSHN Group’s continued partnership, we’re excited to bring our global stars once again to Riyadh for our season opener in 2026,” said Ross Hallett, LIV Golf’s EVP and Head of Events, in full hype mode.
“2026 will be bigger and better with a focus on providing an unforgettable experience including light shows, a food festival, fan experiences, fair rides, golf activities, hospitality, concerts and more!”
A Festival on Grass (with Fewer Hangovers)
Let’s be clear—LIV Golf Riyadh isn’t your average sleepy Thursday morning tee time. This is part-sport, part-spectacle, and part full-throttle funfair. Expect DJs. Expect lasers. Expect food trucks. And expect to see some of the biggest names in golf strut their stuff under floodlights that could tan your face faster than a Dubai afternoon.
LIV Golf Riyadh is also where real golf stories begin—or at least try to. Just ask Adrian Meronk.
“Winning in Riyadh was one of the proudest moments of my 2025 season,” said the Cleeks standout, who looked sharper under the lights than a Bond villain. “Playing in front of such an electric crowd brought out the best in me.
LIV Golf Riyadh will be unlike anything else in the game. It’s fast, it’s bold, and it sets the tone for the entire season. I can’t wait to return and defend my title in 2026.”
Star Power, Superteams, and Saudi Spark
And defend it he must—against a field that reads like a golf version of The Avengers. Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin and Caleb Surratt return for Legion XIII. Joaquin Niemann brings Torque GC firepower as the 2025 season points leader. Crushers GC’s Bryson DeChambeau will attempt to out-drive reality again. Old-school bruisers like Koepka, Garcia, Smith and Johnson will be there too, bringing enough swagger to drown a camel.
Of course, this is more than just ego and ego’s entourage. LIV Golf Riyadh stands at the centre of Saudi Arabia’s wider push to blend elite sport with grassroots development.
Backed by ROSHN Group—Saudi’s heavyweight in real estate and now, evidently, golf—this event doubles as a springboard for youth engagement.
Enter the “Rising Stars” program, launched last month by LIV Golf and ROSHN Group. It’s the first of its kind in the Kingdom, offering kids access to mentorship from names like Talor Gooch and Jason Kokrak, coaching clinics, and talks from LIV execs as part of a six-month talent development initiative led by Golf Saudi. A bold swing at growing the game from the ground up, with Saudi youth at the heart of it.
Not Just an Opener—A Statement
LIV Golf Riyadh isn’t merely kicking off the 2026 season—it’s setting the tempo. The event will tee off a global run that includes stops in Adelaide, Singapore, South Africa, Mexico City, and the UK. But Riyadh gets the honours—and the floodlights.
The venue? Riyadh Golf Club. A desert oasis turned modern arena, perfectly suited to LIV’s no-holds-barred theatre. As Hallett put it, “We are grateful for the support of Golf Saudi and Riyadh Golf Club who provide a world-class facility for our players and teams to perform.”
Expect more hospitality packages, concerts, and ticket tiers to be released soon. For those eager to get in early, a limited number of Club 54 hospitality tickets and three-day grounds passes are already up for grabs at LIVGolf.com/riyadh2026.
This isn’t just a golf tournament—it’s golf reimagined for the TikTok era, with a touch of Arabian flair and a fair bit of swagger.
And if last year was anything to go by, LIV Golf Riyadh 2026 is going to be the loudest start to a golf season you’ve ever heard.
