The England Golf Awards are back for 2026, and this year promises to be bigger than a Bryson drive on a downwind par five. Sponsored by FootJoy, the glittering ceremony will once again take over The Manchester Deansgate on Tuesday, 3 March, where 12 winners will be crowned and new names inducted into the illustrious England Golf Hall of Fame.
For those unfamiliar, this is golf’s equivalent of the Oscars—only with less red carpet and more polos tucked into chinos. It’s the night when the game pauses to celebrate the people, clubs, and counties who’ve gone above and beyond in the past year.
A Stage for Unsung Heroes
Nominations are now open, giving golfers, fans, and clubs the chance to shine a spotlight on those who’ve quietly (or not so quietly) transformed the game in 2025.
Categories range from Club of the Year and Facility of the Year to Young Person of the Year and the Women & Girls Trailblazer Award. There’s even recognition for the Sustainability Project of the Year, because nothing says “forward-thinking golf” like a zero-waste halfway hut.
The full list of categories includes:
- Club of the Year
- Facility of the Year
- County of the Year
- Sustainability Project of the Year
- Lifetime Service Award
- Volunteer of the Year
- Young Person of the Year
- Participation & Development Coach of the Year
- Women & Girls Trailblazer
- Respect in Golf Award
- Performance of the Year (internal nominations)
- Tournament Venue of the Year (internal nominations)
While the public can put forward nominations in most categories, the Performance of the Year and Tournament Venue of the Year awards will remain internal.
As for the Hall of Fame, that’s left to a panel of experts who know their Faldo from their Fleetwood.
Setting the Stage in Manchester
England Golf Chief Executive Jeremy Tomlinson summed it up best: “Every year we come together to recognise the most deserving individuals, clubs and counties within the game of golf in this country, and 2026 will no doubt be another spectacular occasion.
The Manchester Deansgate were fantastic hosts this year, so we’re confident we can expect another wonderful evening in March, celebrating the best of the game in this country.”
It’s clear the awards aren’t just about trophies and handshakes—they’re about community, heritage, and the people who keep golf’s heartbeat steady across England.
